DCS-5222LB1 AFTER UPGRADE TO 2.10.12 GOES OFFLINE (DO NOT USE!)
« on: September 08, 2015, 05:24:41 PM »

Hello,

I have 3 DCS-5222LB1. Yesterday I've upgrade all cameras with new firmware (2.10.12). When finished, they worked a couple of hours, then they look like offline. If I open "mydlink" app on Android device, all of them have the small blue cloud near them (it means signed-in), but when I tap on them it tries to connet and after few seconds it opens a timeout pop-up. I tap on "connect again", but the pop-up appears again, then it kicks me out. And also I don't recieve push notification on my smartphone.

If I try to connect by browser on the LAN, I can login and I can modify settings, but I cannot see live images from camera.

If I try to connect by browser by remote with public IP, I cannot connect to it.

So I turned off all of them and then turned on, they worked again for a couple of hours, then they looked like offline again.

I've downgraded one of them to 2.03.01 and it works fine, I can connect to it by LAN, by remote, by mydlink app, I recieve push notifications.

Is there any problem with the new firmware?

Has a factory reset been performed after the FW update?

Is uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding enabled on ALL cameras?
Set a static IP address on all cameras instead of using Dynamic >DHCP

I have the same firmware and had similar issue. Fortunately, I remember that it happened after I set a high priority on the event setting. I set email notification for motion detection, and while configuring email, I notice the priority setting. I changed to highest security and problem you mentioned start to appear.

I reset back and everything back to normal. My current issue is connection with my NAS for continue video recording.

No luck so far.

luckly I didn't answer "yes" when the mobile app asked me to upgrade!

do you use wifi or wired connection to upgrade? I saw on the upgrade page they say not to upgrade via wifi...

is it possible to have the changelog for this new firmware version?

Do you mean how to reset the priority of event triggered?

1. Login to your DCS 5222L
2. Go to Setup --> Event Setup
3. Go to the "Event" part.
4. This is where you define the event (motion detector) and the time it should be active. Just 2 rows below the "Event name", you should see "priority. If I set it to "HIGH", I will not be able to connect to the camera after some time. I can ping it - but it won't display any image.

Thanks for the feedback. I've forwarded this to D-Link for review.

I'll recommend that users stick with v2.03 for now until D-Link reviews this issue.

Please be patient.

Thank you.

Me too, I can ping it configure it - but it won't display any image. In my d-link+ (android) the camera is always in "time out".

Please remove this firmware from automatic download... if you open my dlink + you have always the same message "there's a new firmware... "

The old version works fine!

I was fortunate this time that my DCS-5222LB1 with F/W 2.10.12 worked fine both mydlink+/lite app on Lollipop device and via browser.
