DNR-322L
« on: August 24, 2013, 06:05:50 AM »

My DNR-322L was working fine but I had to change a disk and do a reinstall. Now it say it cannot connect to the internet to register on myDlink and to check my internet settings.

Nothing has changed on my modem / router. I cannot understand why I cannot connect now.

Any ideas?

What do you mean by "reinstall"? Did you reset the unit to the factory defaults? Can you please elaborate?

Did you walk through the setup Wizard again in the DNR-322L web UI?

What happened when you walked through the wizard?  Did you hit an error message during the process? What did the error say?  What screen/section of the setup were you in?

If I go through the wizard I can choose either DHCP or PPPoE and the installation goes through to the end without error messages. But then the internet connection gives a "connect fail" message in red.

Same problem if I use the setup software. When I come to register I get a message that it cannot connect to the internet and to check my internet settings. I can choose fixed IP or PPPoE same problem.

Everything is working fine otherwise. I can see my two cameras on my MyDlink account. On the web UI I can access the NVR and see the cameras and also play back recordings. I just cannot connect to the internet to register the DNR-322L on Mydlink.

And what I don't understand is it worked perfectly the first time out of the box!

This is a stab in the dark, but did you try removing the DNR-322L from your mydlink account before trying to re-register?

All I can see on my account are the two DCS-932L cameras. I cannot see the DNR-322L so I cannot delete it.

I finally resolved the issue by reinstalling the version 1.20 of the firmware. This was the firmware version on the label on the bottom of the DNR. I had to search the internet to find it and it was only available on the D-link Australia site.

Once installed, I used the CD that came with the DNR and then finally I was able to register with mydlink.

None of the setup wizards would work with 1.40 firmware, neither the original CD nor the Mac or PC versions available from D-link EU or UK or DE. Always the same message that it could not connect to the internet and asking me to check my internet connection parameters.

Then I upgraded the firmware again to 1.40 and everything still works.

I hope this is of use to someone in the same situation.

All firmware versions are available here: http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/
BTW - there's now a v1.50 available: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=55881.0
