3rd party app access to motion
« on: September 13, 2016, 01:17:10 AM »

I am using tinyCam Monitor pro. They have an option for background cam detection for recording. How do I or can I give the app access so that it can be enabled? It says if I can't select it(grayed out) means:

If on-camera motion detection is disabled in Camera Settings, then your camera does not support motion detection or it does not provide access for 3d party apps like tinyCam Monitor for motion data.

Probably doesn't support 3rd party apps in that regard. You'd have to contact the mfr of the 3rd party app to see if they support that feature and how to configure it.

He sent this reply to me:

The camera does no have API to tell 3d party apps (like tinyCam) that motion occurred. That's why on-camera motion detection checkbox is disabled.

Ok, thanks for the feed back. I presume that on this model camera, it's not supported then.
