I was on 2.4ghz. Hmm I mean its not like 6mb down is bad per say. Maybe ill try it on my wifes macair see if it does any better.

Well testing via wireless is always bound to be not greatly accurate. I know for my poor Mac Book Pro, all the testing i've done has probably worn out the wireless card. I'm looking to get a new card for it I think soon. I can connect a external AP to the LAN port and seems to get better results. At least on 2.4Ghz. I think as long as the wired connection between the ISP and the router should be well maintained since its the main connection for services. ;)
Have you tested xfer speeds between your wireless PC/LT and say a wired PC set up with files, such as a file server? Should be good speeds there on the LAN side of things.

In addition to what Furry said, have you updated your wifi card's driver lately? If not, do that and restart your computer and see if it makes a difference.

ok heres post resetting to factory defaults and setting it up again. this also seems to have cured for now the stability issues too

What FW is currently loaded?
-
1.02

Let us know how v1.02 works for you. I know you have the fan cooler going too. Maybe at some point, you could give v1.03 a try?
-
first rule of networking... if its stable... dont mess with it. :)

Understand. I guess I'll take on this. I'll be picking up a laptop cooler today that Kargo recommended. I'll load up v1.03 this weekend and see how it works. ;)
