Volunteer for a MacOS Driver
« on: August 13, 2009, 08:10:25 PM »

I am happy to volunteer writing a MacOS Driver. What is the process to get the hardware specs etc of the DPH-50U?

Thanks.

The AU-600, D-Link DPH-50U and US Robotics USR9620 Adapter are all based on the same Voxelle chipsert/software, so the drivers are interchangable. if you do creat one I will be happy to beta/test it out for you! just e-mail it to me at rogerlovesjesus@sbcglobal.net thanks!

I'm ready to beta-test too.
Also, there's the word that allegedly the 3rd party driver for Mac OS X for DPH-50U appeared somewhere. Is that true? Anybody?

I run Mac OS X Tiger on my "server", other computers in the household run Leopard. There are also rumors that Linux driver is being developed for SuSE, but nothing's clear yet.

Anyway, why everything has to be SOOOO arcane? I do realise it's not a piece of cake to write a device driver, but is it really so hard to develop one?
