Only time my router has any downtime is when upgrading firmware or a power outage.
Only firmware I had issues with was 1.2x versions.

Five months later and still no issues at all with running the 1.21 firmware.  Definitely the best move I made for a trouble-free router.

Hi All,

Include me in the Firmware 1.21 /w Secure Spot unchecked for a Trouble-free Router. I don't broadcast the SSID Signal Name and employ the Network Filter and all is well. Some people need to upgrade. Others don't.

The reason why I never upgrade, because there was a warning that you could not go back. Makes one curious enough never to tried upgrading. Or to want to upgrade.

I have an early model DIR-655 - hardware version A1, still running firmware 1.02.  Generally my router is running fine.  Any problems I've had in the past (there was a time when I was getting a lot of dropped connections) ended up being from external causes.

Should I consider a firmware update?  As  I see lot's of people having probs after firmware upgradse, I am wondering "if it aint broken, don't fix it"?

The oldest firmware that can be currently downloaded is version 1.10 from D-Link.

Incorrect as you can go all the way back to 1.01 if you use FTP.
