WPA/WPA2 Passphrase Same on 5/2.4 GHz a Problem?
« on: December 01, 2008, 07:06:05 AM »

This may seem like a dumb question, but I've never had a dual-radio solution before so I figured better safe to ask than sorry.

If I set up a passphrase that is the same on both the 5 GHz N channel and the 2.4 GHz N channel, could this cause problems with wireless drops?

Just wondering if this might be some of my problem.

Thanks.

thetoad30,

Having the same passphrase shouldn't be a problem. However, having the same SSID may cause a problem.

Thank you for the clarification.

I do have different SSIDs so I could determine which network I was linking up to.
