after numerous problems with MSN Verizon fios mail and Norton AV, my computer would not recognize my network card even though it is listed in internet connections. If I click on it says no newooks found. I uninstalled D -link software using add/remove programs, rebooted computer, and tried to install from the original CD; but installion stops and sys problem and drivers not installed. I get an icon for the D-link connection manager, but double clicking on it does nothing. Also, in internet connections, rt clicking on the d-link and clicking properties produces an error message. Any ideas on what to do next?

I don't use the DLINK Connection Manager, I just let Windows Networking handle the connection.
Download the latest drivers:
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DWA-652&tab=3.driver
Unzip the driver files
Completely uninstall the DLInk stuff from Add/Remove Programs
Go to the Device Manager and where you see the Network card, right click and select update the drivers
Point the wizard to the unzipped folder that contains the drivers, DON'T run the setup routine
Configure the Wireless Connection letting Windows Handle it
If this doesn't work, you may have a issue with the card itself.

Dave:
Thanks for the reply. There are several drivers listed at the D-link site; do recommend one in particular that would be best. I'm running XP SP3.

Just use the link in the earlier post and download the 1.50 drivers.

Which of the two .infs do you install?
netanthw.inf or netanthwx.inf for XP SP3?

I don't think it matters, since they are both in the same directory XP will use the one it needs.
