« on: November 12, 2011, 02:23:42 AM »

Hi,

I'm totally new to D-Link's IP camera systems so i hope someone can help me out ....
I've successfully setup the DCS 932L and am able to see the video from mydlink but the problem is the video is in black and white .... and i can't find any switch or settings to change it into colour ...!

Please help, is there something wrong with my camera?

The "Night Mode" feature displays video in black and white (b/w), a limitation of night vision technology. When Night Mode is off, the video will display in color.

If you log into the DCS-932L web interface and navigate to SETUP > Day/Night Mode, you will find the Day/Night Mode settings.

Settings:
  • Auto - Video will display in color, but will switch to Night Mode (i.e. b/w) when the light level drops below a predefined level
  • Always Day Mode - Video will always display in color, but will not be visible at night
  • Always Night Mode - Video will always display in b/w (i.e. Night Mode)
