My camera will no longer connect via wifi, i get flashing amber light. Camera is under porch overhang, less than 20 feet from the twc supplied arris tg1672g router. Before failure it would loose connection every 3 to 4 days requiring a power cycle of the camera.

- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Have you taken the camera down and done a factory reset with a LAN wired cable connected to the camera to the back of the main host router then set up from scratch using the set SW from the www.mydlink.com (http://www.mydlink.com) web site?

I didn't see any mention of amber status light in the 2330L manual. :(

Hard to say what the issue is. I would unscrew the back plate and factory reset the camera and reconfigure from scratch. You can also hard wire the camera, see if you pull an IP and log in and reset from the webUI.

IMO sounds like water damage.

Shouldn't be,,,its an out door camera. ::)

That is one of the most common mistakes in thought when it comes to precision instruments. In this case the DLINK cam is not a precision instrument and instead a consumer class camera. Outdoor means mostly weather resistance but it does not mean waterproof. You try submerging or pouring water over it repeatedly and see what happens. ::)

I have a post some where here, where I had received a water droplet on my 2330L.... and the cam looked all crazy...

If the camera is up under the porch over hang then there should be any water damage.
