DIR-412 signals range problem
« on: October 10, 2010, 07:01:34 AM »

I just bought a new D-Link DIR-412 router. At first it was disconnecting momentarily in 3G mode. Then I upgraded to the latest beta firmware v1.08. Things got a little better. Now I realized that the internet works fine if I place my laptop or iPod near the router but if I move away even just a couple of meters, the signals starts to drop or I get disconnected.

By the way all this happened in 3G mode. I am not sure about WAN mode because I dont have a WAN connection.

I was wondering if this a problem with my router only? Or is it a common problem with this model?

I have been using my 3G device without the router and it never disconnects like that.
