My DWA 566 was working for a couple days after building the new computer, however, it haas suddenly stopped working. The green light is not flashing, and I have tried reinstalling both the hardware and the drivers to no avail. There's no sign of anything under the Device Manager referring to it.

Does the DWA work in a different PC? Would help to know if it works there and if not, then possible DWA is bad, If it does work in different PC, then something on 1st PC is inhibiting the DWA....

Unfortunately, I do not have another PC I can test it on at the current time. But suppose it isn't a bad card, what are the steps to fix the problem? Would it be a problem with the BIOS? The motherboard? The software?

Id start with ensuring that the PCs HW drivers are up to date, i.e. USB if any.
Disable any 3rd party security SW while uninstalling and re-installing.
If your using 7x64, do a reboot of the PC and hit F8 on pre-boot to get to the dos window selection and find Disable Driver Enforcement, select this and then continue. Then try to install the DWA drivers from scratch using the ones from the web then when directed, plug in the DWA, try different ports.
Only other think you can try is a different USB adapter PCI card in the PC.
Do other USB devices work on the current USB ports?

Yes, all other USB ports seem to be working fine. I will try those other methods, however.

Keep us post...Good Luck.

It seems that I simply needed to use a different source for the drivers :D My fault! Just me being a doofus :-[

Different source? ???
So you got it working?
