Access Error: Site or Page Not Found
« on: January 10, 2009, 08:22:03 PM »

Hey all,
I'm getting the following error when attempting to login to the web ui (normal or downloads) ...(or an error with varying id=XXXX variables) with v1.06.  I believe this is due to bittorrent downloads.

Does anyone know howto resolve?  Further to this error, I am unable to access network shares on the NAS until a reboot.  boo :(

Hi EmuMatte,

I seem to recall reading a post either on the DNS-323 or DNS-343 where BT was preventing access to the DNS WebGUI until a reboot was initiated.

Try disabling BT temporarily and see if this is the case.

I can confirm that the reboot did clear up the issue...but needing to reboot every little while is a bit of a pain.

Further, this only occurrs during BT transfers.

Try a Factory reset.

Why is every time dns support says to reset the unit
Why can't we get dome firmware to update and fix these issues

Try a Factory reset.

How can we 'reset' if we can't get access to the WebGui ? The only way is to make a power recycle. By the way I made a permanent solution to this by reverting FW to 1.05. It's time to implement a FW fix !

reset is by using a paperclip or toothpick and putting it into the small hole in the back of the unit.

if you do this, make a back up of your configuration files so you can restore them easily.

reboot is necessary. If you have over eight torrent downloads, this happens.

I have also found that to be true, at first i thought was only IE, but happens with firefox also. If the browser page left open while on BT, it will loose conenction and shut down is required to bring all online again. Like you, i always have to make sure i log out :-)

I can leave the bt page open and it won't happen to me.  If I add 8 or more torrents to dl, I won't be able to log in after that (once logged off).
