Router causing slow internet connection
« on: May 11, 2011, 08:53:04 PM »

This only started about a week ago and everything was working fine before then. My router is causing my internet to be slow (I know this because it goes at normal speed when I am connected directly to my modem). This goes for both wireless and wired. I have tried restoring it to default factory settings and that does nothing.

What ISP service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand alone or built in router?
Cabling in good condition?
Turn off Advanced DNS Service if you have this option.
Enable DNS relay under Setup/Networking
Ensure DNS addresses are being auto filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual.
