Title: Video Stream Lost Error
Post by: sdhruva on February 03, 2015, 05:55:49 PM
Hello, I started getting error "Video Stream Lost. The video stream from your device was lost. Please try again. Error 0.70_1_5_5_4B0)" This error appears when I check my cameras DCS-5010L when I am connected through my WiFi. Everything is normal when I don't use WiFi. My router is DIR-880L. There have not been any changes on router side. I am little puzzled because only time it doesn't work is when I am connected to WiFi and not otherwise. So I am guessing somehow the router is blocking it??!! But then no configuration changes in months. I am clueless....can anyone help?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Are the cameras local to your location or remotely located?
What application are you suing when this error appears?

Router and Wired Configurations
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router. Besure to log into the Admin account on the router.

b]Wireless Configurations[/b]

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.

Same problem here!  This is not a router or ISP issue.  This is an issue with Dlink.  I have a 932 experiencing no issues but the 933 is.  No router changes and ISP is not blocking anything.  Would appreciate a fix!!  There is obviously a problem as dlink had me revert my firmware back to prior version only to jump back to the latest one. App is virtually useless using iphone and even connecting locally is timing out.  Have made no configuration changes and I am not going run around moving routers and changing channels when the only issue is a DLink cam that has worked fine up until a week ago.

The error went away after I rebooted my camera (DCS-5010L)!!! It was weird though.

My results were identical to Benny_0418.  I have a DCs-932L that works fine, and a DCS-933L that used to but quit with this error message.  My firmware had been updated to 1.07B something in February 2015.   I went to Dlinks support page for this camera, and surprisingly the latest firmware listed for the DCS-933L was 1.04 from 2014.   So I downgraded to this version, and my streaming works again from the iPhone app.   I then tried upgrading to 1.07Bsomething again, and again my video streaming was broken.   Sooo, back to 1.04, and all is well.

My four 5010l's were working fine after firmware update earlier this year.  Today, updated the iOS app and now constantly get the Video Stream Lost error (Error 0.70_1_5_5_4B0).  I am able to access the cameras through IP address on the web browser (PC), and through the DNR-202L, but not thru MyDlink via web browser.
How did the iPhone/iPad app and MyDlink website get so screwed up?

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

UPDATE:  Ended up re-applying Firmware ver. dcs5010L_v1.06.01  (fourth time) to each camera, wirelessly, while they were mounted in their normal positions.  This immediately allowed the iOS MyD-Link Lite app to work.  After approx. 4 hours following the FW updates, all cameras began working properly via the MyDlink website.
