My configuration
Product: DIR-655
Hardware Version: A4
Firmware Version: 1.37NA
I too am experiencing the same issue where the router LAN ports are capping at 25% of my Gigabit connections bandwidth test results. DIrect connect tests to the modem and even tests of the modem connecting through a Linksys Gigabit switch give results of approximately 760 Mbps. All four router LAN ports individual results are approximately 190 Mbps. I've performed checks with several different Cat 5e cables as well as factory reset the router and set a basic wired configuration with no wireless capacity. The test results are always the same.
I'm curious if this is perhaps a little know limitation of an older router due to not many people using it with a Gigabit connection?
Any constructive and relative feedback is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately this would probably be the case. I have all 3 versions of 655. I'm now on a 200/10. Last time I put one on its was on a 100/3 and it worked then.

This is with TS and QoS disabled...There are known limitations to TS and QoS on older routers.
Not sure what you'll see with a Rev A...
Do you have QoS and Traffic Shaping enabled? Try this however I don't think it will make much difference. These older routers don't have any form of HW acceleration since at the time, 100Mb was the max seen on some ISP services.
It maybe time for something anew. :-\
