Just a question - Port Forwarding
« on: September 22, 2016, 06:12:33 AM »

I'm not having trouble, just getting more into networking on my own and was reading about port forwarding. I see a typical device to use it would be our cameras. I wonder how D-Link is accomplishing that, I didn't have to do any settings on my router. If I look at my Linksys router in Single Port Forwarding, I don't see anything pre set. I wonder then, how am I accessing my camera's ip via the internet?

Using ports and I believe port 80. It's a general port for most internet traffic. They also an use a virtual port when uPnP is enabled on the main host router.
