Title: DLINK DIR 600 router does not connect to Internet
Post by: jigneshjain25 on June 19, 2013, 11:11:52 AM
I have a DSL cable connection and a dlink wifi router. The problem is that though the internet is available, the router is not connecting to the internet. I tried running wireless broadband by putting Internet wire in a LAN port on the wifi router, and then I am able to connect to Internet, But the router cannot connect on wifi, that is when i plugg Internet wire in the input port of the router.

I also checked the router settings on  192.168.0.1 and everything is correct.

Thank You

are you moving from Hathway to other ISP or something like that? Check if firmware upgrade will help you. I moved from Hathway to K broadband and my old router dint work. I updated the firmware and it started working.

"a DSL cable connection"

No such thing. Either you are using DSL or cable (HFC). Is there a phone line(RJ11) or cable line (coaxial) going into the modem? What model modem do you have? If it's a gateway, is it in bridge or router mode?

Oops. I didn't see that the OP was so old either. I am just on the lookout for actual router questions here that I click on anything. Heh
