Does the DIR-130 actually work when used as a L2TP Over IPSEC server? I setup a PPTP server, and can connect with a Win XP client no problem. So I setup a L2TP Over IPSEC server, and cannot get a Win XP client to connect. I setup the same PSK on both the Windows client and the IPSEC server. I also changed the type of VPN from Automatic to L2TP IPSEC VPN, and I get several different errors. Since I rebooted the router, I've been getting an "Error 678: The remote computer failed to respond."
Since the Dlink docs just say how to setup a PPTP server, I'm a little confused here. Since there aren't many settings, I'm guessing that the L2TP IPSEC VPN doesn't work correctly (or reliably?) on the DIR-130.

As of right now the L2TP over IPsec capability has NAT transversal issues. It will work in environments without NAT involved.
-
Are the NAT traversal issues going to be corrected?
-
They have been reported and we are waiting on code, unfortunately that is all I can tell you.

Any progress on the L2TP/IPsec over the past 10 months?

I am trying to connect L2TP Over IPSEC to DIR-130 VPN with Windows Vista Business. Any resolution to the NAT issues reported above?
Also, support / help documentation does not match the latest firmware user interface options. Last firmware update was more than two years ago.
- Is DIR-130 considered an obsolete or unsupported product by DLink?
- What is the latest DLink device with comparable functionality?
