DNS 323 "admin" login error
« on: February 02, 2010, 07:53:20 AM »

I have just purchased a DNS323 server I have installed the 2 - 1TB WD Sata drives and am trying to configure it... it is telling me the user name "admin" is incorrect and I can not proceed any further.

I have clicked the "reset" button on the back of the box.

How do I reset the "admin" user id?

thank you.

Some things to try:  The password field must be blank.  Make sure you typed "admin" correctly w/out spaces (your browser may have cached a typo).

I take it you're aware that linux is case sensitive - Admin - is not the same as - admin

Were you able to login when you first purchased the DNS-323?  I assume you did since you've successfully installed two HDDs.  If so, did you change the default password or change any admin settings?

Reset to factory defaults by holding the reset button for 15 seconds with power on.  The login will be reset to the defaults from the manual.
