I just updated my iphone 8 dlink lite app, and I now have issues connecting with my two cameras, mainly the DCS-5029L, but also with my DCS-5030L. This is the error code I get, error 0.70_1_5_5_3EC .
Also with the last version, I have issues switching between those to cameras after backing out to the main screen, or after reopening the app.
Both cameras are local ONLY, have static IPs, and are Ethernet connected.

- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What iOS is loaded on the phone?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=37689.0) both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0)
I have an iPhone 6sP and iOS 11.4 as of just the other day. MDL Lite app is working for my 3 cameras here, 933L, 936L and 960L.

I have 1.14 on the 5029l, and 1.04 on the 5030l. Located in he US, and again these camera are offline and worked with 3.8.5 app firmware. In the phone, I have a 11.4.

I would contact D-Links mydlink support group and have them help you with this...

They discontinued the 5029L model, so I'm not sure what they are going to do.

Haven't heard of connection issues with the new update. You may need to reset the camera and reinstall. Possibly they updated the back-end which is causing issues with older firmware on the cameras.
Definitely call tech support to get it in the system. Support for this camera ends on July 1st. I will pass on this thread to a tech to see if other users are having the same issues.
You can downgrade the app from 3rd party sites (be aware and use at your own risk). I use Android so I do not know of reputable sites for iOS.

Get a hold of mydlink support, not D-Link support:

3.8.7 has been released. Give that a try.

Nope the update did not fix it. Sadly. I had also put in a ticket, but I never got a response. I figured nothing would happen, since they were so close to discontinuing it.
I can see the camera, in local, but after selecting it, I just stays on the Connecting spinning ball.

After deleting the app several times and resetting the camera, I have managed to get it back up. After setting it up, I figured out the issue. I has to do with the HTTPS certificate. If you remove it and never set a new one, it will fail to connect on the 5029L, the 5030, does not allow you to mess with the HTTPS certificate. which gives me some pause if it ever decides to go online and authenticate it with a remote server in Taiwan.

As a follow up to all of this, now that the cameras are working, the connection time is quite long. Maybe 30-45 seconds before the app and camera will actually connect and display video. I remember this happening earlier this year or last year after an update. The app was updated eventually to fix the long connection time, hopefully that happens again. I still wish I could set the local ip address of the camera within the app and pull the camera up rather than it having to scan the network for the camera.
