changing VLAN ID
« on: February 19, 2016, 09:14:31 AM »

Hello,

I just purchased the new DIR-879 router, but there is no forum for it yet. I am posting here since it seems to share the same software interface as the DIR-890. I am trying to replace my CenturyLink supplied router with the DIR-879. To get it to connect, I have to change the VLAN ID tag on the DIR-879. I have gotten this to work with other routers, but I cannot find any way to do this with the D-Link. Does anyone know if there a way to change the VLAN ID?

Thanks!

Link>Welcome!

  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
