always disconnected from the network/ connection failure
« on: September 16, 2016, 07:12:58 AM »

hi~ I am a new D-Link ip cam user form Hong Kong.

I got my DSC-2630L three weeks before.  The set-up was so smooth without any encountered problem, however, the cam was keeping "disconnected from the network" a week after.

Recently, I noted that the said problem become more worse and often.  Once the cam is disconnected from the network, not only I cannot browse it via the d-link app and even cannot log-in the cam via the ip (i.e.192.168.1.xxx).  In order to solve the problem, I have tried to use static IP, switch in-between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, HTTPS vs HTTP, router reboot, reboot the cam by unplugging from the power socket (sometimes the cam would be lost again after reboot), however, none of the above can solve the problem.

My hardware specifications are listed as follow for your kindly reference:
Firmware: 1.03
Cam's hardware: A2
Router: Linksys EA6350
Wireless interference: already select another channel to prevent wireless interference from the neighbor

Grateful if you can assist me to solve the problem.  If it is really related to the firmware's problems, I am really looking for the update asap.  Many thanks.

Link>Welcome!

What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.26   DHCP

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com

Seems you have tried everything. Try a different electrical outlet or if you are using a powerstrip a different one or not using it at all. Maybe the power is the reason for the disconnects.

I can confirm that it is not related to the electrical outlet. If the electricity really in failure, my wireless router will be re-booted too, however, no such situation was happened.

My hardware specifications are listed as follow for your kindly reference:
Firmware: 1.03
Cam's hardware: A2
Router: Linksys EA6350

There is a newer 1.04 f/w available.  Not sure if it will help though.

http://downloads.linksys.com/downloads/889/782/EA6350_V1.0.4.164719_Customer_Release_Notes,0.txt

Maybe try the camera at a friends place.

My Linksys wireless router and D-link IP cam already updated to the latest firmware long time ago, however nothing was improved.
