DAP-1320 and a SAGEMCOM 2864 Router issues
« on: December 27, 2014, 01:43:26 PM »

I use a SAGEMCOM 2864. DHCP enabled, with few STATIC IPs (mostly for my TV system). I added the 1320 to allow access from a cold spot. I configured with a new SSID, and used DHCP. I found that wireless devices became confused, couldn't access either the main network or the new SSID. I had to resort to assigning Static IPs just to reset the devices (ipconfig /release and /renew did not resolve the problems on PCs.) One symptom was that the problem devices were being allocated IPs outside the normal range of the router and the Gateway was the defualt IP of the 1320. My next step was to using STATIC IP on on 1320 within the range of the router. This seems to work but even now I get IPs allocated outside the normal range. Power down of the 1320 sometimes resolves the problem but not always. The next attempt will be to use reserved IPs for all my devices. This is really a pain considering that this device is meant to be simple to install and configure. Any help would be appreciated. Note I have picked up from other locales that there may be a problem with the 1320 working with SAGEMCOM 2864.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DAP? Look at sticker under the DAP case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DAPs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Try disabling DHCP on the DAP or use it as a extender to help extend the range of the Sagecom routers wifi

Any status on this?  ???
