Title: DIR-845L
Post by: mariodings on December 29, 2014, 05:18:01 AM
Nothing to find about  Product DIR-845L

Weel I use it as an access point because it was the best value for money.
However I can not see this device in my Dlink pages and apps.

If your using the 845 in wired AP mode then all Mydlink and apps will not work as those services required the use of the WAN port being used and the router running in router mode. You may have used a DAP model AP instead of a DIR series router:

Status update.
1. 845L is to be found at 850L (I really don't know why,  for me it is not logical)
2. Your answer was sufficient.  I has some problems with the forum and I lost my way. (Thanks for the reply)

Of course is not usual to buy a router and only use the switch and the access point. In my case it was best value for money.
And I know the router-part does not work as expected. But I'm happy.
Wireless is good, although I do not use the 5 GHz, because it is by far not strong enough.
Shareport Web Access. I use a 15,5 GB SD-card, just for fun and experimentation.
Switch OK , I do not use the yellow (WAN) port
