After updating firmware to 2.15, mydlink Lite Android App reverted the firmware back to 2.14. Is this correct?
Thank you
-
If you updated to 2.15, skip any FW updates or what the Android thinks is a update and seems to be downgrading?
How did you apply the 2.15FW, mobile device or PC?
-
Updated Firmware with PC. Should I post a comment on the myDlink Lite App forum page?
-
I would avoid having the MDL app update the FW, that app is getting to be older.
Can you use the newer app call mydlink from the google play store.
-
FurryNutz . . . I've installed the myDlink App as you suggested and will use it from now on.
Very much appreciate your help.
-
You can still use the MDL app, just skip any FW updates on it.
The new app is good too.
Enjoy. ;)

After the firmware upgrade the Live Video screen requests an ActiveX installation each time I click on it (i.e. it doesn't 'remember'). Similar problem with PTZ setup display under the Setup tab, but this doesn't even install the ActiveX. How to resolve?
-
I know it's not mentioned, so I doubt it was addressed in this update; however, does this have any impact on the KRACK vulnerability? I know my DCS-930L's have received an update now that specifically mentions KRACK, but I noticed it wasn't in the notes for this update.
Is the DCS-5222L still scheduled to receive a patch for this issue, if it wasn't addressed in 2.15.07? Thanks!
-
it should have the KRACK fix but let me double check. It may take me a day or 2 to get a response. I assume you have rev B?

No rush! I appreciate you looking into it. I believe it’s revision B2

Greetings,
I just tried 2.15 and 2.16 hotfix. In both versions, my third party app yawcam can nolonger connect to the camera. Had to revert back to 2.14. Anyone else experience this?
I'm connecting via http://192.168.0.150:80/video1.mjpg
Wondering what is different in 2.15 that just cut off access. The port is the same, video1.mjpg stream info is the same.
I rebooted, reset the camera and ran the setup software again. Nothing. Appreciate any ideas or advice.
Thanks

I would ask the mfr of this 3rd party cam app for help and information. There app may need updating to correct connection issues with newer FW used on the D-Link camera.

Where did you find 2.16 ?

Thanks, I could do that. What exactly would I asked them to look into? The url link has not changed, is there a specific code or configuration in the FW that needs a correction for 3rd party app to work?
-
Not sure. Something you can inform them of your experiences and have them look into it. No idea what 3rd party apps so in regards to handling of D-Link cameras. Possible D-Link could have changed something that doesn't allow 3rd party apps to connect to cameras anymore. May consider them a security risk. Only the 3rd party mfr can tell.
