D-Link has confirmed this is a hardware issue and cannot be fixed via firmware unfortunately. It is a memory issue.
sometimes working, sometimes wont, on same configuration. this is not hardware isue.

Just because it works sometimes then doesn't others doesn't mean it's not a HW issue. Many HW issues contribute to seeing odd problems.
If D-Link confirmed it's a HW issue then it is what it is. And sounds like something they didn't catch early on.

yeah, d-link said.  :)
i found software for backup, sync back pro, v.8 which has no problem with transfer speed to usb. every night, 3GB is copyed to ftp with cca. 25MB/s, in about 2:30 minutes.


fillezilla is copy without problems too. i dont know. strange.

Is this to the USB drive connected to the 882?

I use SyncBack as well..great program. However it backs up to NAS for me.

Yes, this line of backup is usb on router, other is on synology nas and few clouds as well. this is working for years.

What mfr and model # USB drive is connected to the router?

Wondering if Windows OS/Explorer and the USB connection could be seeing problems where actual backup software may not. Would have to test other USB drives as well.

SanDisk_Ultra_54430 is how 882 is recognize USB disk.

with filezilla speed is 30-40 MB but connection die around half transmision, have no idea why:

just checked, have nothing else to do, filezilla is transfer files on 30MB on SanDisk ultra 32GB USB without any issue, but wont on large crucial ssd. speed is ok but connection just die.
