Greetings,
My 890L-R is not behaving well after a FW upgrade.
I purchased an 890L-R a few days ago, installed it, and it was working fine. I noticed a firmware upgrade was available for it, and I want to keep up with all security/vulnerability patches so I used the upgrade option from the menu to upgrade the firmware. Upgrade was successful, version shows v1.10, but the management pages are not showing the right information. The home page always shows Internet Disconnected even though my lan-connected PC and wireless devices are actually getting internet access through the router. I.e., the router says it is not connected but the devices are, in fact, connected.
Running the setup wizard always hangs _forever_ on the 'Detecting Internet Connection' step. Trying to reboot or reset factory default configuration from the admin menu does not work. Trying to manually set the internet connection to DHCP does not work - the Save operation does not save the settings .. on next display the connection type reverts to static IP.
On a whim, I installed the v1.11 FW using the recovery method suggested in this forum. The upload was successful and the web pages show FW as v1.11, but the same strange behaviors remain (router says disconnected when it is actually connected, cannot restore factory settings, cannot reboot, cannot manually configure settings, etc).
Tried to roll back to v1.08 using suggested recovery method, same results.
I am in the US, Windows 10, FF browser, Cox cable modem, 890L-R HW Version A1
Any suggestions ?? I cannot keep the router if it cannot be managed by its own management pages.
Thanks

What does IE11 or Opera browser display?
Be sure to clear browser caches be and after uploading FW.
There is a v1.10 available which seems stable from the Canada site.
What mfr and model isp modem do you have?

Awesome, thank you :)
Tried IE11, saw the correct pages, connection status, etc. Cleared FF browser cache and voila, correct pages displayed.
Happy camper, thanks so much!
Will try the 1.10 in a while.

Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
Sorry, was a typo on my part. Only v1.11 is most current however v1.10 B07 from the Canada site seems to be the most stable.

Sorry for the confusion. ::)
Good to hear. Ya v1.11 worked for me as well. Some are reporting some issues with it.
Let us know if you notice anything else.
