Is ANYBODY happy with motion detection?
« on: July 30, 2013, 01:28:07 PM »

I have come to the conclusion that nothing short of continuous recording is going to do me any good. I can't remember how many times I have missed an event because the camera sent me an empty snap, a late snap, an early snap, not enough snaps or missed it entirely. I have a camera pointed at the driveway. You can walk from the street side all the way to the garage door( at least 30 feet) and get just one snapshot, and I have the entire driveway marked with blue grids.

Have you tried setting the time between frames to 0.5 s?

But I would agree. The motion detection doesn't work the way it should. I have both the DCS-932L and DCS-930L. The 932L detects motion as it changes from night vision to day vision, both cameras detects motion if the sun gets behind a cloud and vice versa. Very annoying.
