As a standalone device, the DCS-930L does not include functionality to save video streams to an external storage location. That said, you can use D-Link's software, D-ViewCam installed on a server save live streams from the DCS-930L, although I'm not entirely sure how the application deals with remotely located cameras.

You can ask this question on the D-ViewCam board: D-ViewCam board (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=156.0)

Or, you can set up a home computer as an ftp server, and send images from the camera to that server.

This is, effectively, what some of us do using remote servers.

The stored images may be viewed sequentially, effectively being a stop-action "video".
