Title: Antennas or other ways to boost the signal
Post by: saldlink on January 12, 2009, 07:48:38 AM
I get a very low signal for the 5GHz band in my home. When I test the throughput on this band, it is around 12-14Mbps actual throughput, lower than the previous Wireless G solution I was using in my media room. I would really like to separate the data and media networks, as advertised in the marketing materials for this unit.

Anyone know if antennas are available to boost 5Ghz range?

If not, are there 2.4GHz antennas that work with this unit. Currently I get 30-75 Mbps actual throughput on the 2.4GHz band, and I'd like to boost that higher to enable smooth HD video streaming.

I see the same here. My 5Ghz signal is crap.
