We updated our DCS-930L wirelessly, and uneventfully successful.
Can't say the same for the DCS-932L, which we updated through MyDlink.com.
After installation, it said camera password had been changed, asked for entry. Well if it's been changed, what should be entered? As I recall, default is blank. But that doesn't work. Nothing works.
Camera is seen on the LAN, but browser can't access it.
Now trying, wired, to bring the darned thing back up. Solid red on front.
Grrrr ...

Talked to D-Link today, very responsive (if a bit tedious going step-by-fruitless-step); RMA on the way.

In your estimation, was this a bad firmware transfer/update or related to the FW itself?

No new functionality or anything or any real value to users - or at least to me...

We don't know yet - since we managed the update in response to and thru MyDlink (but with the bin file already on our computer), we suspect that there was a momentaryglitch in internet packet transfer - although, MyDlink then was asking for a password, so it seemed as if it had completed. Next time, we will NOT let the internet be an active part of the process, but manage it locally, as we did with the DCS-930L only minutes earlier.

Thanks for the update. I think we've all had our fair share of bad experiences performing direct from the web updates with the DCS (and other devices).

Today we received the cross-shipped replacement DCS-932L. It came with firmware 1.02, so we first updated it to the latest. Then re-programmed to similar settings as before.
Working OK, so far, except again seeing the zero-byte files occasionally created on the ftp server (as before, and on our DCS-930L).

Not sure if it's an issue with this firmware or not, but it's a bug that needs fixing.  With Anti-flicker turned on, the image gets washed out on daylight scenes.  But in night mode with the IR leds blocked, the image becomes substantially better with anti-flicker turned on.  It's really too bad there isn't separate day/night settings for everything.
