Password not Working

The password that i have set for my router is not working. I am still able to connect to the internet and use the wireless, however i am unable to change any settings on the router or add new connections. In the help menu i read that there is a way to reset the password to factory defaults however i am unable to find how to do this. If anyone knows where there is instructions a link would be very much appreciated. Or if it is really simple some quick instructions would also be nice.
