Title: DGS-1210-10P and Wake on LAN...
Post by: Fabz on August 14, 2014, 12:32:38 PM
Hello there !  :)

After all : There's no topic for this product so I try here and I'm french, my english is not very good but I'll do my best  :P

I have a DIR-860-L linked with a DGS-1210-10P linked with a DS414. I often use an iPod with DSFinder to turn the NAS on but this is not working with that switch.  :-\

I try to plug the NAS on router... it works.

Thanks for your help :)
I hope that's understandable  :D

The 1210 is smart of the "Smart" or managed version of network switches. DIR series routers use "unmanaged" LAN ports for there switching operations. If you can find a way to disable any "Smart" or managed features on the switch, then you might be able to get it working with the 860L.

I would review the User Manual for any features for this or I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I'll phone them tomorrow and if I don't find a solution, I'll try to disable function one by one  :-\

Thank you again :)
