Possible to limit bandwidth by port?
« on: February 10, 2011, 09:48:09 AM »

Would it be possible to limit the bandwidth allowed to particular ports on the router? In my case, I want to limit the bandwidth to my two Xbox 360s I have connected. Say, give a certain percentage or hard-code the bandwidth allowed by the devices to use?

I believe these routers do not have the option of limiting bandwidth by a percentage, just prioritizing the bandwidth for each device connected. I have 2 xboxes as well, even though I only use then on-line one at a time.  ::) I'm not sure if by prioritizing if the bandwidth is limited per device that's connected and on-line during the data traffic streams internally or what the algorithm for that would be. I'm sure thats DLink I.P.  ::)
