Hi
it works ok for me, but there is a problem with softether started, applications zoneminder, Serviio, phpmyadmin, I respond "500-Internal Server Error", any ideas?

It could be a problem of doors!!!!!!!!!

http://192.x.x.x/zm/    -> not found
http://192.x.x.x/serviio/console/     -> not found
http://192.x.x.x:9091/transmission/web/      ->FOUND

Hi Texas_72,

I have not monitored this channel for quite some time.
I think the problems you faced with zoneminder, Serviio, phpmyadmin were the same as the issue I highlighted at the previous tread which reads

I rephrase herein.
---------
 "There is another issue with DNS-320L. It is cheap and a single CPU machine that does little multi-taskings.
I have similar problems before. Whenever I log into virtual HUB under SecureNAT while co-workers at my office carry out large files transfers thru DNS-320L  DNS-320L would freezes up. (Sometimes, it waited long duration before web interface come up again)
To verify this, goto DNS-320L, Management, System status, Resource Monitor, you will notice CPU's utilisation shoots up to 100%.

To overcome this problem, try 1 dedicated unit of NAS for softether, another NAS for files storage, install zoneminder, Serviio, phpmyadmin at another NAS."
--------------
I am happy ever since.

Hello,

Any plans for providing a addon for the DNS-340L?

Great work by the way!

Hi,

In trying to get SoftEther set up on my DNS-320L, I tried to remove the add-on and reinstall it in the hope that I could return to the default settings.  That doesn't work - SoftEther settings persist even after the add-on is removed.

I tried a few tricks to try and remove the Softether settings and soon discovered that if I got it to stop listening to ports then I was totally blocked from configuring SoftEther.  Deleting the Softether add-on and re-installing it do not help.  The only possibility I found was to delete the entire DNS-320L configuration (management - system management - system settings - defaults - restore to factory default settings, or the paper-clip in the reset button trick).  It was then necessary to re-enter all my settings because it seemed as if the 'save configuration' (under  ...- system settings - configuration settings) performed after the softether add-on was first installed resulted in strange things happening if I loaded it again ('mydlink' no longer working, then part of the NAS login page missing, then unable to log into the nas altogether).

So..
The developer's great works could be even better if he reviewed how SoftEther configuration settings are initialised and how they interact with the DNS-320L save/load configuration feature.

(PS: I'm outside the intended use of this forum because my D-Link product and I are outside the USA - but since there is no alternative forum for us, and since the developer is also outside the USA, I hope you'll overlook that.  ;) )

Does anyone know whether log files are eventually deleted, or are they going to occupy space until it can no longer function?
SoftEther has a function, that may or may not be working, intended to leave a specified amount of free disk space by deleting log files.

The SoftEther manual, section
3.3.11 Automatic Adjustment when Disk Space is Insufficient
states
"For Linux and UNIX systems, the disk quota space is not utilized. Therefore, please note that there is a high probability that the automatic disk space adjustment function is not working properly when the disk quota is set on UNIX systems."

I'm unable to find log files in  \\NASnodeName\Volume_1\Nas_Prog\SoftetherVPN\
so are they actually kept on the hard drive or in the NAS's (limited) own memory?

You can create a script that deletes the logs. To run the script from CRON (e.g. addon vtCron).

Code: [Select]
[root@dlink-E62F85 bin]# find /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SoftetherVPN/ -name *.log
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SoftetherVPN/bin/packet_log/DEFAULT/pkt_20150220.log
