Ya thats what I had been using, before TurtleBeach. Karl, if you can get a TB headset, please try one. You'll wonder why you waited so long.  ;D

I can ask for one for Christmas.   ;D

I hate wireless headsets. My point is Microsoft specifically made it propreitary so they could make more money. That is why you don't see 3rd party headsets that connect direct to the Xbox, and why even wired have to be connected to the controller. Even the best Xbox controllers out there require a bluetooth dangle to be connected to the controller. Oi

I used to think that it was all about the money, too.  Then I got a PS3 and had all kinds of quirky quality issues with 3rd party products that I didn't have with XBOX.  These were wireless earpieces.  Granted, I should have bought a Sony earpiece and tried it out.  I'm sure it would have performed much better.

So, I won't deny that it is about the money.  They are a business looking to profit and I can absolutely see that.  But I think it's also about control and control of what works with their system.  I rarely have any quality issues with MS products designed for XBOX.

To me its not about money. I don't mind spending money. Its about choice. So for me to have a wireless headset, I either have to get a cheap over the ear one, or I need to have a wire dangling from the middle of my controller. I don't have to make that choice with a PS3. Any USB headset that doesn't require a driver will work with it. Any bluetooth will work with it. Do some of those choices suck? Ofcourse. But thats where research comes in. If I wanted to be told what to buy, I would own a Mac. :-p

LOL!!!  Very true!

I look at it this way.  Owning an XBOX is like being a child to a parent.  You don't have to worry about your safety because someone's looking out for you, but you lose a lot of freedom in that relationship because your "Parent" is pretty strict.   :D

UBEE vs SB6120
« Reply #1084 on: October 20, 2011, 06:04:25 AM »

Charter's standard cable modem is a UBEE (Ambit) U10C035.  Per Furry's advice I bought an SB6120.  Every now and then I'll switch them out to see if there's any difference in the two.

Each time I switch them out I have to register the "new" one.

Well, just last night after using the UBEE for several weeks I switched back to the SB6120.  Man, I can really tell a difference in the speed of the two.  Web pages load so much faster with the SB6120.  I didn't think there would be much of a difference but the SB6120 really handles the data so much better!

You don't have any quality issues with MS product because they are Proprietary thus they must work or no money, a lot of negative press and customer complains for them and since the majority of the $$ MS makes comes from Proprietary hardware accessory etc so at the end of the day they must make it work. Also it don't matter if you use a Sony earpiece or third party earpiece because Sony uses One standard and that is Bluetooth. Just make sure the earpiece are compatible with Bluetooth 2.0 (EDR). So it is dependent on the quality of the earpiece you buy.

Wow, who's telling who to they can't do what?

Too Funny.

Yea of course, Bill probably hates Jobs. Steve Jobs had this to say about Bill gates

"Bill is basically unimaginative and has never invented anything, which is why I think he's more comfortable now in philanthropy than technology. He just shamelessly ripped off other people's ideas."

Ouch that must have made Bill angry.

Ps Xbox is all about the money, nothing more nothing less.
