DNS-202l second camera not connecting or showing
« on: February 14, 2016, 02:54:18 PM »

My second camera is not showing on the DNS-202l. The camera is on and stable in single camera mode but keeps flashing on and off with a red connecting label or not showing at all. It was working yesterday OK, all I did was turned off camera and moved to a different location, but have moved it back to its original position but it still not working. I have tried resetting the DNS-202l and reinstalling software but still no joy.  Any suggestions ?

So far I am a little appointed in Dlink. I thought if I buy all Dlink cameras it would all work together, but so far it have all been a little flaky. I needed a system that would work for months at a time without input to keep running, as I will be in another country taking care of aged mother and need a way to check on house while gone.

Thanks

OK fixed it, the only other change I had done was clean up wiring and put in a new Ethernet hub. I put back the old hub and it is working again. The only thing I can think of is the new hub is running slow and not allowing the camera to fully load.
I thought I would leave this post up in case someone else has a similar problem, check Ethernet wiring and any hubs.

Glad that you go it working and your disappointment turned into satisfaction that it was something else and not D-Link products not working together.

Enjoy.  ;)
