DCS-930L severe hardware issue (DIY HOW TO FIX)
« on: March 24, 2016, 07:32:05 AM »

These are the steps (and info)
DCS-930L and 932L has severe noise problems in the picture in low/no light.
Someone found out the problem was that Dlink made a poor design and omitted noisefiltering the cmos signal in low light, thus introducing a lot of noise in the picture.
To rectify this, it is neccesary to solder a capacitor of 470 uF, 16 or 6.3volts between c38(NEGATIVE) and L8(POSITIVE) (I have used both, and both worked). For details, see pictures in this thread, AND BE CAREFULL TO GET positive and negative THE CORRECT WAY! Pry open the case with a screvdriver or thin hard plastic something to get to the inside, locate said points, solder. All other necessary info is in this thread.
