I have recently purchased 3 DCS-934L’s. I installed them and everything has been fine up until about 2 weeks ago. I was notified of the new firmware updates and I downloaded and updated the cameras. Not long after that two of the cameras will not work. One wouldn’t or couldn’t find the internet connections via the setup wizard and the other one just went offline this morning. I have tried everything in trying to get the one back on line. I have installed the old firmware, done multiple factory restarts and nothing. It still can’t find the internet or will not complete the setup process by saying “could not find internet connection please check all connections”. I am very frustrated and any help or insight would be extremely appreciated.

• What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
• Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
• What region are you located?

Start with one camera first and do a factory reset on it and use a LAN wired connection while your getting it set up. Use the setup software or also try to connect to the cameras web page at the IP address the main host router gave it after it was connected to the router and the factory reset was performed. If you can, I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.93 and .94 and .95  DHCP

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?

• Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
• Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner to find out. How many?

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com

Ok, I am not sure the hardware version, I will have to look once I get back home. The other things you mentioned about making sure its hardwired, I have done several times. I am able to access them via the IP address, but now they are not showing in mydlink because it "cannot connect".

Ok so sounds like they are working on the LAN side however may just need to be re-associated to the MDL service.

Ok, please excuse my ignorrance here. I have no idea what you mean. I am very new to all of this.

You said you can access them from home right? Via there IP address? If so then they are working up to a point. It's the association with mydlink.com services that needs to be re-established again. You just need to either use the setup wizard and walk thru and it should have a section where it asks you if you want to associate the camera with the service and if you already have an account. If you already have the account then select this option and input your account information.

Right. Thats where it stops. It says it cannot establish the connection and will not let me get it to that point. So I am unsure what is happening.

Be sure that there is a PW set on the admin account for the cameras log in page first before attempting to associate with MDL. We see problems with some routers not being able to get associated until the PW is set up for the log in.

If someone has the link to the old setup wizard that might help. I was able to do all of it just fine before the firmware upgrade. I would have to say the bugs in the new firmware is what is causing the issues.

Can you go back to the prior version of FW on one of the cameras to see if you can get it set up?

Yes, I tried that as well.

Did you go to the mydlink.com site, log in and then remove the cameras from there as well, then try to set up and re-associate?
