I have a DCS-932L, it is doing it's job for years now, including the D-ViewCam program. Now I got a used DCS-5030L, everything is working fine, bit I can not add it into the D-ViewCam to manage both of them there. The model# DCS-5030L does not exist. It shows DCS-3710 and the next one is DCS-5220Ax. I know the 5030 came out long after the 932, Device Pack Version 1.3.0 - Is there an update? Anyone can help? Thanks

- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What version of DVC are you currently using?
There are upgrades for DVC:

Thanks for your response, F.N.
The H/W version of the DCS-932L is A1, the F/W version (written on the box) is 1.01.
File version 3.1.1 (D-ViewCam application=product version 3.11-0720) file version 3.1.1.0
H/W version of the used purchased DCS-5030L is also A1. (F/W ver: 1.01, which I don;t have)
I am located in Canada/WestCoast
Any more infos required? I really like the DCS-L5030.

I am not sure why, but I was reading through the forum, went through almost all of the "supported camera lists" for most of the newer 'device packs' and I could not find the DCS-5030L... not at all. hm. Guess I have to abandon D-Link, had a look at the iSpy, but it is pretty sluggy. Any other recommendations? Too bad, that d-viewcam is just what I want

Try the newer version of DVC?
-
well...I tried updating, with different versions..... it goes through, but when I want to start the main console, a message appears that the version is a newer one, first I have to install something like 1.1 or so...
I uninstalled dvc... installed a complete new version, same thing, uninstalled. installed another "older" newer version. Cant get in anymore.
I scraped now again everthing 'newer' of dvc off and installed from the original cd of the DCS-932L again, and I'm in again..... just with the DCS-932. the DCS-5030 won't be recognized.
The 5030 works on ip and on 2 different devices on my-d-link lite (android cell and tablet). I wasted enough time with d-link within the past few days, I'm going to look into other programs. Thanks, I'm done with 'trying'

Good Luck. ::)

Yep. It is not in the device list. WTH Dlink?

I used the DCS-6045L. It seems the closest to the right specs and seems to work.

If the camera is not in the supported camera list, then you can use a compatible model:

With the new firmware, this no longer works. Anyone find a way to get it working?
