Hi,
first, I'm in Italy.

Hacker mail came from a fake address: <corey tailor dball@cdsbmi.com>.
He simply tell me "I known your password: 'xxxxxxxx', I've infected your computer and recorded you while watching ****o, give me xxx Euro to ..." etc etc.
Usually i discharge these mail, but "xxxxxx" is the password of my d-link account to access this forum, and then the information "I known your password" is true.
I've used this password also in other 3 forum and then I'm not sure from which one he has got my password, but surely he got it.
I've told you this to informe that it is possible, but not sure, that your site was cracked.

If you use this same PW in 3 other forums, they may have gotten it from one of them.
I would do this, Change the PW here on D-Links forum to something else. Then change the PWs on those 3 other forums to something else, however make the PW different from the one you changed here on D-Links forum.

I would also run MalwareBytes scanner on your PC to be sure nothing nefarious resides on your PC.

I kind of doubt the forums here was hacked. They may have gotten your PW from else where then may have tested it out here then are telling you that they have your PW regardless of where they got it.

I haven't seen or heard any security issues with the forums or other users getting that email but I will have them look into it.
