Allright.
Connection: 300-300 -mbps
Distance to router: 25 feet and a light wall.
My new router just arrived, the DIR-882, replacing my TP-Link Touch P5.
My workstation is in the other room, about 25 feet away from the router.
The TP-link gave me 180-180 -mbps on 5G, and 80-80 on 2,4G.
The brand new DIR-882 gives me 70-70 on 5G and 60-70 on 2,4G.
I`ve tried different channels and different channel width, can`t even find the 5G net if I choose a channel higher than 48.
Router is placed on the exact same place and I`m on the exact same spot.
Please tell me I`m missing something, cause I`m literally disappointed

- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
How is the wifi configured?
Auto channel or manual channels?
What devices are you testing with on wireless?
Does wired speeds result in to spec speeds?

Thanks for coming back to me
Current Firmware Version: 1.01, it says it is up to date.
How is the wifi configured?
Smart connect: off
I`ve tried mixed and only ac
Auto channel or manual channels?
Tried both
What devices are you testing with on wireless?
I`ve tested with my laptop (new this year) and mobile phone. The same two devices from the same spot where I got significantly better speeds from my old TP-Link AC1900 router.
When I`m 2 feet away from the router I`m not even hitting max speeds. I`ve made sure my test device (laptop) is the only device connected while testing, I even plugged back in my old router and it gave me what it has used to. Something got to be wrong here.
Does wired speeds result in to spec speeds?
Wired gives me full speed.

Depends on your clients. This and the TP-Link have different radios/chipset so speeds WILL very.
How are you testing the wireless speed?

Can you test with SC enabled?
There is more recent FW, however lets not up date just yet.
-
I`ve done some testing in SC mode.
At first, around 40down, 80up.
Then I tunred all antenas to each side, straight out on each side, now I get 200-200 from the same spot. Strange.
I`ve mostly used Speedtest.net with the same server every run

So antennas are horizontal and not vertical or at a slight angle?

I`ve tried many angles. After I turned on SC it has dropped out like 3 or 4 times.
Speeds was ok for a while, then goes down to like 20-20. I move up to the router with my pc, speeds a stable at 70-70.
I have no clue. Maybe try the firmware update?

Yes you can do a FW update:

Any progress on this?
