Dlink wont even start up...
« on: June 29, 2009, 03:51:37 AM »

Hi,

i did a system reset (through system, on the setup menu).  I restartd the unit and the blue light (power) comes on and just stayes there, no LAN light.  So then I do the paper clip reset, and as soon as I put the paperclip in the LAN light goes steady blue but it wont power up with the power switch, after about 10 sec the LAN light goes out then I can start the unit, but I still get the black screen.  I thought I might have had a bad connection, but its the same with another tv, plus the LAN light never comes on to show its accessing ro anything...

Did I toast my unit?

It very well may be. I would recommend contacting technical support via telephone.

I found that after a hard reset, you have to push one of the remotes buttons to get the picture back.  Something to do with selecting video.  Mine just did that.  It works now.

Yeah if you are using HDMI please try using the composite video output if the Video out button does not work for you.
