What wireless modes are you using?
Try single mode G or mixed G and N?
What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA2 and Cipher type to AES only if your device support this or use Auto TPIK or AES.

Does a wired connection work?

What HW version is your router?
What FW version is currently loaded?

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?

On the router:
Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual?
Turn off QoS options.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP.

So this ISP modem is a wireless modem? Not cable or DSL?

Possible, does the ISP modem have a WAN or Internet out cable port that you would connect a wired LAN cable too? If not then your ISP modem probably doesn't support any type of external router device connection. The 601 and most other home routers only support Cable and DSL ISP wired connections.

I would recommend calling the Mfr for this modem and ask them if they support the addition of an external router and if there any settings or configurations that need to be set up. From what I see, this modem is a GATEWAY modem and thus might have different networking options from normal standard DSL or Cable modems. Let us know what you find out.
