I am wanting to create multiple pppoe connections with the same vpi and vci on the 2750u, however it is giving me some error message like port already in use or some such. Now I have a very old 2540u and it does this with no issues. I am on firmware version 1.7 or some such just for background info.
So I have two questions. Without going to an older firmware on the 2750u is there any way to have the above scenario?
And question 2, is there a way to schedule which pppoe account is used at what time?
Being in South Africa, we have all sorts of weird accounts, mostly for service providers to make some for of profit after our monopoly fixed line provider nails them hard. For example. I have one account that is a 5 gig cap between 06:00 and 00:00, after that it is unshapped and uncapped with 4 concurrent sessions. I would like to use this account in the above specified ours for clients and myself without having to stay awake until 00:00 and changing it via RDP and then having to be up before 06:00 to do the same.
On the other hand I have a 500GB cap that costs me an arm and a leg and a rib, and now they are threatening one eye and kidney also, this account I would like to use between 06:00 and 00:00.
Ideally I would like this whole process automated without having to use macros and what not that as a tech i should know, but couldn't give a hoot really, if it is not necessary, along with the fact that it would need to be on a server, and well i don't like anything other than server stuff on a server.
On top of all of this we have rolling blackouts on a weekly if not daily basis, which gives me nightmares when my clients decide that an online ups is not within their budget for their server, but I wont ask for help with that.
