Add-on "Transmission 2.94 (d8e60ee44f)" for D-Link NAS
(1/1)
vtverdohleb:
[Add-on] Transmission 2.94 (d8e60ee44f) + Web Control 1.6.0a (20180418)
[Description]
Transmission is a BitTorrent client which features a simple interface on top of a cross-platform back-end.
Transmission allows users to download files from the Internet and upload their own files or torrents. By grabbing items and adding them to the interface, users can create queues of files to be downloaded and uploaded. Within the file selection menus, users can customise their downloads down to components of individual files. Transmission also seeds—that is, it can re-upload downloaded content.

I am new user of this addon, which is also. I just cant find a way to figure out my folders location. By default it was using my Volume_1 which was fine, but now i want to download to another drive that is larger.
The format is /mnt/HD/HD_a1/Torrents
But I cant figure out what would be the /mnt path for other drives... Any tips?

Hi Vtverdohleb,
Thanks for all your great work to make our old hardware usable & save it from trash! :P
(eco-firendly initiative !!)
After 8 months, my Transmission v.2.84 (14307) from your package 1.11 stopped working on my DNS-320L (fw 1.11) : weird characters in the 'Configure' page and Web interface not reachable... (I had about 100 torrents. Or is there a limit like 70 torrents max to avoid bypassing?)
Is there a way to 'clean up' Transmission logs (/mess) properly and make it run again? ("bash xxx.sh" from the Nas_prog disk directory or another way?)
After multiple tries and installing this new version 2.94 (your package 1.17) from june 2018 : I gave up, backep up the torrents from /config/torrents/ and deleted the Transmission directory to have it work again... (+ added/rechecked torrents manually)
I hope it won't be 'corrupt' again after several months?!...
Maybe it can help others too, thks,
Cheers & all the best,
J.

I reply to myself : I changed the parameter ""message-level" to 1 instead of 2. Hope it will do the trick.
message-level: Number (0 = None, 1 = Error, 2 = Info, 3 = Debug, default = 2) Set verbosity of transmission messages.
I read Transmission could handle 1000+ or even 10,000+ torrents at a time on linux.
Best,
