Hi - I just purchased the DCS-2330L. Im having several issues.

1. When I log into the www.mydlink.com website, my camera is shown. I have installed the Java app as requested. It will not load the preview, settings or anything. It just asks to reload.

2. Im trying to setup email notifications directly on the camera. supposedly there is supposed to be a menu to setup your email server, port etc. There isn't. I DID manage to go through the motion detection wizard and find a email notification but its limited and doesn't offer SSL/TLS which I need with Gmail.

I have made sure that my firmware is current. I don't know whats happening with this thing. Is it just buggy all around? If so, Im taking it back.

I had what appears to be a similar problem with my new DCS-2330L not working with any MyDLink website or app and finally resolved it by logging directly into the camera and creating a self signed certificate for HTTPS under the Advanced settings tab.  After that was created and loaded I could view the camera stream and settings using the MyDLink website or the mobile apps.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?

Be sure to use the latest set up software to install the camera and get it registered.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Rerference this thread as well. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Already talked to 3 different tech support people. They replaced the camera, the second one did the exact same thing. They told me the issue was on their end with the software.

Does anyone have an older firmware they could send me? Hoping that might do the trick

Try this:
http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-2330L
Does the same thing. says " Could not connect to the internet. Click Close, then check your settings."

Do did you do a factory reset and then downgrade the FW then set up from scratch?
Does the camera get an IP address from the main host router? Look at the main host routers DHCP client table. If it has one, can you connect to the cameras web page at this IP address in a web browser?
