Huge bug in new firmware. DO NOT UPGRADE!
« on: May 21, 2015, 11:08:04 AM »

After update: After some time there will be no connection to the camera. Have two 935L, same issue with both.

Dlink fix it!

How was the upgrade performed? Wired or wireless? We recommend wired if possible.

What browser did you use to upgrade the FW? I recommend IE or FF and have any PC security programs disabled during the FW upgrade process.

I recommend doing a Factory reset, then manually upgrading the FW using the downloaded FW file, then factory reset once more then set up from scratch with a wired PC to avoid any upgrade problems over wireless connections.

It was all done using the "MYDlink Home App" - It told me that there was an update.

The is no RJ45 on the camera, only wireless!

Do you use the 935L and the App?

I have downgraded to a lower version.

And by the way, the issue is not the upgrade-process itself but the new firmware. Camera is running well for an hour or so.

I recommend if you can, try the wired upgrade process to apply the new FW to one of the cameras using factory resets then set up from scratch to ensure it applies correctly. Use a PC to test this out. If the FW still fails to install correct and the camera operates incorrectly afterwards, you may want to contact D-Link support and advise them on your experiences with the new FW.

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What is the distance between the main host router and the cameras?
What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?

The firmware installs just fine.

And please read this again: Cable is ___NOT___ an option as there is no wired connection on the camera, please see picture of this camera and you will see.

Sounds like you cant acept that there is a issue with the latest firmware?

I have done firmwareupgrades before just like this time, no problem with earlier version.

Anyway, I have sent a message to dlink.

The distance is 2m with line of sight and the router/accespoints is Cisco/Linksys E3200. No other devices connected wireless.
The setup has been working flawless for months.
I am very sure that this issue is related to the new firmware (1.04) that came out this morning.

What is very strange: It is not possible to acces the webinterface in the camera and the stream is dead but the camera is responding to ping. So this must be related to the firmware.

Firmware 1.03 is now in the two cameras and everything is back to normal.

Well, I got a reply from DLINK but what is extremely stupid that it is not possible to reply back to DLINK. In addition, they even want me to supply more information.

There is only a link to https://www.mydlink.com/contact/

Very, very very stupid.

Serious? Come on DLINK.

We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. Ask for level 2 or higher support.
Let us know how it goes please.
