Hi! What issues does the Revision B FW address? (I can't find any details in the release notes.)

Have just set up the DIR-810L and is running great on the 2.4 GHz band, but no internet connectivity on 5 GHz band.

Could this update help?

This FW version if only for Rev B model 810's. Not for Rev A.

Do you have supporting 5Ghz WiFi devices?

Do you have supporting 5Ghz WiFi devices?
This is my first dual band router and was hoping to use the 5 GHz band for video streaming using a Chromecast and Samsung Galaxy S4. A quick check of the Android Central forum shows CC works on the 2.4 GHz only. 5 GHz is for media streaming devices like Roku?

The 2.4 GHz band coverage is significantly better than the Linksys WRT54GS that I replaced.

Ya you need have devices that support 5Ghz WiFi, there are many devices that support 5Ghz WiFi. Not sure about RoKu devices, you'll need to check the Mfrs for products that support 5Ghz before you buy. You can stream some video thru 5Ghz WiFi.

Yes if your router is working then keep the FW version thats loaded.

Should you ever need to update FW, Please use this for future reference:

Glad to be of help. If your not using the 5Ghz radio, you could disable it until such time when you get something that supports 5Ghz.
